Editorial Portrait of Author Kate Atkinson
I was asked by the team at the Wall Street Journal to shoot portraits of Author Kate Atkinson here in Edinburgh. I am a big fan of Kate’s work so I was thrilled.
My assistant Danny and I met Kate and her Daughter at the grand baroque home (now hotel) Prestonfield House. We strolled around the gardens to our pre-scouted locations, working and chatting in the rare Edinburgh sunshine.
At one stage we were joined by house cat Raven, he was a lovely small black cat who happily stole some of Kates spotlight. (Shortly after which he ran past us with a shrieking baby rabbit in his mouth, dragging it off for slaughter…)
The WSJ were very happy with the results of our (slightly traumatic) afternoon.
