The Grandfather of Rock : A Portrait of Ozzy Osbourne.
So there I was standing in Edinburgh's Lovecrumbs coffee house when an email comes through. "Are you available to shoot Ozzy Osbourne in Glasgow this week?" Ach! I thought, I bet it's some Oswald Osbourne, politician. But No! Actual Ozzy Osborne. (cue rock pose)
So we got everything arranged and off we went.
The process of getting back stage was a little more chaotic than I prefer but when we finally got to our "space" backstage we quickly set up and patiently waited for our 10 minutes. What a lovely man he was. We had a brief discussion about the perils of toothpaste and clothing when you wear that much black, before he stepped up and turned it on. I was asked for some very simple eyes to camera portraits which is not his natural persona, but we managed a few calm moments before he disappeared into the night to rock the sh!t out of Glasgow.
Most pensioners I've met just golf...
Long live rock, long live Ozzy Osbourne.
Black Sabbath's 'THE END' tour is on now.
