True Blue : Editorial Portrait of Scottish Conservative Party Leader Ruth Davidson.

Not so long ago I was asked to 'generate' portraits of the MSP and Scottish Conservative Party Leader Ruth Davidson. (Understandably you can't use the words 'shoot' and 'parliament' in the same blog post... wait...oh)

I had a very specific brief that required me to bring background rolls of paper, an apple box, three lights a large peli case full of camera bits, a chair and some boxing gloves. All through Parliamentary security. Great! Security used the chair I had brought with me to rest their weary bones while they watched me unpack and repack everything. It wasn't unexpected and they were at least entertained when the quiestion "why are you bringing in a chair?" was responded with, "to sit on."

Ms Davidson was of course very charming and a genuine pleasure to work with. While her whole team were nothing but helpful calling on all hands to help us transport our ridiculous volume of kit all over the Scottish Parliament. Good times.
