I spent a few days a wee while ago in, what I consider, the Scotch Whisky heartland, Speyside.
Now here in Scotland most people will have a whisky opinion. From the Islands to the Highlands and Lowlands it keep folk in pubs bickering and bartering over which they think is the best, but in my mind Speyside is the home of whisky. I have worked with the Grants family collection on a lot of projects and I have to say that hearing "fancy a trip to Dufftown" is a sentence that warms my heart. They are a great team from the coopers to the maltmaster, in fact Glenfiddich have recently appointed a new International Brand Ambassador in the form of Struan Grant Ralph and I had the pleasure of working with him on this very trip.
Now there was a lot of other TOP SECRET whisky business that went on during this visit. We produced location portraits, still-life sets and documentary images of some very exciting innovations coming from the team. You'll have to wait for that info but in the mean time here are two of Glenfiddich's finest. Mike Dawson and Struan Grant Ralf.
For the record my current obsession is the Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask.
Make mine a double...
